Indicate children in the tree

It would be useful if we could see if there are child elements under a tree item, without opening it.

  • what do want on the UI? Plus sign in front of tree elements?
  • always show the indicator and hide it after a click, or display accurate info immediately?
  • what additional info do we need from the backend? Extended API?
