[BUG REPORT] - Display problem in Windows 11
Description
I use Autowall since long time on Windows 10 without any problems. Lately, I upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 and I face display problems while Autowall run.
I use 2 displays (display 1 = 4K and display 2 = 2K)
As usual, I browse for a 4K video (3840 x 2160) to display as background but when I start it, first all the desktop icons are gone, then after a second or two, all the icons are back but only half of the video is visible (as if it was off-center to the right but without distortion)
The test system has no problems while playing videos with a MediaPlayer or youtube
Steps to reproduce
Step to reproduce under Windows 11 24H2
- Run Autowall 1.13 (december 06, 2024)
- Browse for any video at any resolution
- Apply
- the video begin correctly but all the Desktop Icons are gone
- After a short period, the desktop icons are back but the video is off-center to the right (half of the screen) but without distortion
Expected behavior
Expected Behavior like Windows 10:
- Run Autowall 1.13 (december 06, 2024)
- Browse for any video at any resolution
- Apply
- the video should display on desktop without problems.
Actual behavior

Yes, currently the fix of the latest version is only applying for one screen only, in windows 11 the weebp is not working correctly... Unfortunately I am a single monitor user and checking all this is complex for me.
I made this fix in order to refresh WorkerW in a single monitor, https://github.com/SegoCode/AutoWall/blob/master/src/tools/refresh.au3 you can try to modify it to detect both monitors and refresh it on each screen.
Hi,
I have this issue with Windows 11 also but on one screen, Is there an easier fix for the much less computer coding savvy? ... I only figured out how to get this software to have animated wallpapers due to a youtube video and followed that. As you can see from this image i'm about 1.5 inches off of having it be able to fit the screen
