Recent install, Ubuntu 16.04, latest version of Spotify.

This issue was also present when I was running Ubuntu 14.

confirmed on Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 32-Bit

@mikar : do you think #63 will fix this ?

no matter what im doing , if i hit the pause-button during the ad (and hit play right after it) ... the ad will still run ... so "Spotify-Adkiller" doesnt work at all right now

Some ads do seem to be blocked now. Although after the ad I have to manually press play again to get the music to resume.

@Micr0Bit I think so, give it a try and report back.

I am running Ubuntu 16.04, with the latest version of Spotify. I get an Error everytime Spotify starts: ERROR: No music found in the specified location. Please check the settings. Switching to simple automute (no local playback).

Is anything related with this thread? Because it isnt blocking the ad's :/ Thank you

Same issue here

Same issue here. It's random though, some ads are muted and some are not. Everytime I open the adkiller, a pop up message occurs:

ERROR: No music found in the specified location. Please check the settings. Switching to simple automute (no local playback)

Also, sometimes, after the ad is finished, the player doesn't resume. I need to go to the app (spotify) and play it manually. When I do that, I still listen the end of the ad before the song starts playing.

issue still remains. Ubuntu 20.04 I did not experienced this on Manjaro

doesnt

ERROR: No music found in the specified location. Please check the settings. Switching to simple automute (no local playback).

just mean that your music directory is empty, i get the error if i dont have any music in there, but when i add music, it stops appearing and the music is played over ads, instead of just muting spotify
