Kill line is slow

Can something be done here to speed it up, like make it comparable to Emacs?

As far as I can tell it's it's not (just) slow but buggy. If you hold down C-k, it won't cleanly delete all lines, some characters are left behind! (tested on Mac and Windows 7). The code is asynchronous, so there's probably a bug hiding somewhere. I'd like to investigate when I have some more free time.

Any updates? I have same issues as @laustbn This bug(?) is the largest problem for me to use VSCode.
