Question/Request: Using this code on ESP32

I've tried to use the code on ESP32, but it didn't work out.

Am I being too naive thinking it would work out of the box on an ESP32? I'd like to run it on a ESP32 to simultaneously use the Xiaomi BLE component from ESPhome.

What can be done to get it running on ESP32?

Working fine on the 8622, thank you for that!

I still don't know what to change to get it working for ESP32. I only use 8622. But I leave this open in case other people got it working
