Ability to change the style
I would be greate if there were the options to change the colors and other CSS settings of the style.
Additionally an option to hide the date would be wonderful.

this was round about one year ago.....
I need a working solution for me and one of my customers and I will try to make a completely new "start" for screenly. how would be the best way? making a fork and start there new or making a new git and give the child "a temporary name"?

We unfortunately don't have the bandwidth to prioritize this plugin right now. We are however happy to accept contributions for it.
