Option so audio doesn't convert the file into .WAV when edited in the sound editor

Editing audio shouldn't convert the file into wav, instead it should stay it's normal file extension. You guys can test this, upload an mp3 to the Scratch sound editor. Then edit and download, the file extension should be .wav.

Guess I have to implement WASM addons

when you download the .wav you can just use an audio file converter to convert the audio extention or rename the extension to the original audio extension

Perhaps just an option which compresses the sound back into MP3.

The efficacy of this addon depends on if vanilla Scratch is able to play anything other than WAVs. If not, then there isn't much use for it because only about 2% of active Scratch users have Scratch Addons.
