Getting filtered from forums and can't login to Purelymail

Open ovhnw opened this issue 7 months ago • 5 comments

reddit filtering comments and posts so others can't see them. stackexchange won't let me register because "The email address you’re attempting to use is being blocked by our security systems".

Can't log in to purelymail.com because "This user is not an admin account"

What's going on?

Thank you :)

When logging into purely mail to do admin tasks use the @purelymail address you made when setting up the account. To log into web mail click it at the top and sign into your account that uses the custom domain.

my apologies, yes, i can log in now when i use the @purelymail account. sorry. i was trying to use my domain email address. thank you.

what about getting blocked from forums? Does purelymail have a bad "spam reputation" or whatever it's called? Is there a way to see if this is the fault of purelymail, or my domain name?

Thanks again :)

It may be because of purelymail or the domain you own. If you read this support doc on purelymail's website, it says it may be the fault of purelymail having a bad IP reputation at more obscure providers or your domain may need to be built up as reputable because some TLDs are more scammy than others.

ok, so even though this is "forum registration and participation", and not "email sending", the reputation of purelymail could be the reason I am getting blocked from forums, while registering using an email address that uses purelymail services?

That would be my guess but I would ask someone more experienced. I know enough to be dangerous but someone with more knowledge should answer that.

More likely that's a domain issue. What's your domain zone?

I emailed [email protected] with a response to this

Hiya, we will have a look into Reddit and Stackoverflow, however it does seem more likely that particular domains aren't allowed for singing up for things. My old domain using the .xyz TLD wasn't allowed to be used for Steam, but when I changed to .co.uk it was working as if nothing happened, despite it being a much newer domain.
