Where to find stuff

I want to try to contribute a little bit if I can but I'm not sure how to figure out where each bit of text is in the code in corelation to in game, that and tbh I have no clue how this works so I might as well use this as a kick off learning experience. -.- sorry if I somehow just end up wasting you time with my lack of knowledge on this topic
