Feeding The Kinky Cookie to server in 2 sec...
Every time I trying to downlod my screenshot, the 'steamscrd' return ---- ERR35; Failed to load first grid page! Retrying in 2 sec... I checked my Chrome browser and I can access my Steam profile and view my screenshots without any issues. Maybe it's because my profile has adult content, but I tried using my girlfriend's Steam account, which only has public screenshots from 'It Takes Two', and I still got the same error. Could you please help me?
Network issue, I'm from china. I used VPN to get the program to this point, but that's it. I'm still trying.

yeah, maybe "The Kinky Cookie to server" this server can't connect from china. But I still want to download my steam screenshot, include friends_only and private. I'm trying to download it form myself scripts (90% wirten by chatgpt, I'm not good python)
In my own script, I found that using only steamLoginSource and sessionid still doesn’t allow me to log into the Steam homepage.
I’m not sure whether the data I copyed from Chrome is correct. I suspect that the failure with steamScrd might be due to the same issue — that’s just my guess.
As a workaround, I used google's user data to log into the Steam homepage and open a Steam screenshot. Later on, I'll need to find a way to make the script loop through and download all the screenshots.
The key part of my rudimentary script:
from selenium.webdriver.chrome.service import Service
options.add_argument(r'--user-data-dir=C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome for Testing\User Data') options.add_argument(r'--profile-directory=Default') # Google Profile ID
service = Service(r"C:\chromeDriver\chromedriver.exe") driver = webdriver.Chrome(service=service, options=options)
print("[OK] open Steam main station...") driver.get("https://steamcommunity.com") time.sleep(2)
target_url = "https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=XXXX0568188" print("[OK] open your steam pic link...") driver.get(target_url)
Finally, I made it!
@polyphonic20 If you still need help, here’s what I did: install Python 3, Chrome, and ChromeDriver. With your Google user data, you can download any screenshot — even private or friends-only.
It’s kind of a pain to set up, and I couldn’t get around steamscrd’s network issues in China, but honestly, 'steamscrd' a kick-ass tool.
I have 16,000 screenshots — God knows why I pressed F12 so many times. Then I reinstalled Steam — and everything was gone.
im not from china and prog still doesnt work for me. ha i also have 16k shots on steam. and around 32k from times when i diddnt use steam cloud or just non steam games..i have a game with 130 shots and id like to download them with a time it was made in their name, just like steam names them. dont wanna rename manually
I checked a screenshot that I have uploaded to the steam cloud and the timestamp that I can see is the time I uploaded this screenshot, not the time I pressed F12. I can try adding the timestamp and game name inside the screenshot name.
And the reason I added page as well as No.x: The code logic is to log into the steam screenshot page, select a game or all games, then sort by newest or oldest, and finally select grid view. This makes my task to visit a page and then download the 50 images from that page. With the page and No.x information I can easily check if I missed a particular image.
So, I think page and serial number are necessary debug information.
