allow manually specifying conservation laws

Sometimes a user might know a conservation law and have a specific notation they want to use for the constant (along with knowing which species they'd want to eliminate). We should allow adding this information to the system as an alternative that disables our auto-calculation of conservation laws (ultimately it would be best if they two could be reconciled, but making it either/or seems easiest to start).
