Sata ports not working with NVME drives installed

Open Hotendz opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

I read in the motherboard manual that nvme drives deactivate 2 out of 6 sata ports. I have 2 nvme drives installed but I lost sata port 0, 4 and 5. Also a normal NTFS HDD with Paragon works very slow and freezes finder sometimes. Any ideas how to fixe these issues?

Cheers, Michel

This is by design, see board manual for block diagram:

  • M2A_CPU nvme slot is shared with SATA port 0
  • M2M_SB nvme slot is shared with SATA ports 4 and 5
  • M2P_SB nvme slot shares 2 pcie lanes with PCI Express x4 slot (pcie slot drops to x2 when nvme is used)
