[SUGGESTION] Show amplitude during recording and playback

I would like to get an idea of how loud I am speaking while I am recording. And I would also like to know how loud my recording is when I’m relistening to it, and how loud others’ recordings are.

A circle around the record or play button that grows and shrinks according to the amplitude would be the nicest solution. But a simple bar would suffice. As long as it is clear when it is too loud or too quiet. You could for instance use colours to indicate this: red for too loud and dark grey for too quiet, whereas green would be the ideal volume.
