How am i supposed to actually start the game?

Every time i boot it up, it tells me to touch to start but touching the bottom LCD doesnt work as starting the game and none of the buttons work. I know for a fact that it isnt the buttons so im not 100% sure how to load it. I'm on a New 2DS XL

Do you have the release from this repo? Mine says nothing about touching... If you do, which data.rsdk are you using? (Steam, android, etc)

I'm using the one in the Universal Updater (cia file, i have both HW and SW) and the Android RSDK

Hmmm... I have the same setup on the hardware build on O3ds... Im not sure why it would say anything about touching...

~~What point does it get to? (game does not start, gets to title screen, other)~~ Another issue confirms title screen.

Yes, I can't get past the title screen. The attached image shows you when this happens.

And how should the game start normally?

Apologies for only seeing this now, notifications were apparently set up so that I wasn't notified of new issues for some reason.

Anyways, I've done testing with an Android RSDK before, but I do know there are a few revisions of the RSDK, and in the one I have, the title screen prompt simply reads "Press Button" as shown here: 2021-10-05-084552_737x438_scrot

As this is a RSDK problem, I'll ask about this on REMS and see if there's anything I can do to fix the issue.

I have had this problem as well but I have found a fix to this. The cause of the problem is you probably downloaded a mobile rsdk of Sonic CD, that is what I originally downloaded and got the same problem, you need to find a PC rsdk of Sonic CD for it to work.

Put the file in 3ds/SonicCD on your 3ds

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to distribute that.

Its just Sega's intellectual property. While probably nothing would come of it, GitHub still has to follow US law as that is where it operates from.
