App icon remains in MacOS dock

Can the MacOS app be updated such that the icon no longer appears in the dock? The idea is that this runs seamlessly in the background rather than intruding on daily workflow. It will always be accesible via the menu bar after all. Thanks.

This would be huge for me as well! Trying to get away from Soduto + KDE Connect.
