Looks like a DRM issue, maybe there was a Widevine update? Although it shouldn't select 1080p… this is strange.
Thx, I'm trying to upgrade my widevine trough input stream helper plugin. I'll report here the result.
It works :)
Sadly it is not working for me, could you elaborate a bit how you fixed it? Updating to the latest widevine didn't fix it for me.
Hi all, I have the same problem with OSMC on my RasPi 4b.
Neither reinstalling the old, nor the new widevine via the inputstream helper fixed it for me.
Same problem here with OSMC Kodi v19 on my Raspberry Pi3B+
Same problem here with LibreElec Kodi v18.9 Leia on a Raspberry Pi3, with both newest and old widevine releases.

Hello and thanks for the responses. Update my widewine via input stream helper was one of the first things i tried, but without success. While reinstalling widewine i got a message which said that the newest videwine version may be not compatible with my (dont know if hardware or os). It ask me to install an older version. So in first try i used this option. I will try out the other option with the newer widewine today. I give you an update when its working or not
@bewi93 I already tried reinstalling the new and old version yesterday, no success.
I just tested with what I have locally (old af), after a Widevine update and with Kodi 19-alpha1 & addon version 0.9.0 and it works fine. So it might either be some temporary issue that should go away in a day or two, or it'd need some more investigation, possibly caused by some changes in Kodi or IS.A.
Haven't contributed to the addon in a while, so I don't have the tools ready to tests right away. I assume most (all?) of you are on CoreElec/LibreElec/OSMC, from what I read?
@Varstahl Thank you for your effort. :) By my side I'm on LibreElec v18.9 Leia on a Raspberry Pi3, plugin.video.amazon-test v0.9.4 Thank you.
For information, just reinstalling widevine from inputstream helper didn't work, i had to remove widevine, then reinstall and it works
@chocho13 As you suggested, I removed widevine from inputstream helper, installed it again from inputstream helper (not the lastest, but the suggested one from inputstream helper) and it still doesn't work. :( On which platform are you? I'm on LibreElec v18.9 Leia on a Raspberry Pi3, plugin.video.amazon-test v0.9.4 Many thanks.
Couldn't it be also a regional problem? Looks like newer widevine libraries need special preparations like a patched glibc https://github.com/xbmc/inputstream.adaptive/issues/678 which could become difficult for people not using *elec. I am also having this problem in Germany but I did not try a new widevine lib yet.
Im also from germany. Looks a bit like that Rasperry Users cant fix the problem? Chocho is using coreelec, but on another Hardware, right? But maybe thats just conicidence.
I could check if this is also is a problem on Ubuntu with "real" hardware :-D with a new Kodi installation and newest plugin etc. If it is, then it could be Software or Regional Problem, but if it works it could be hardware (or software).
Hopefully someone finds a faster solution ;-)

I'm also a 18.9 Leia user on a Enigma2 receiver and it's not working either since yesterday. Tried both reinstall CDM (old and new), Kodi, even changing to a different E2 image... It seems to be an issue with 18.9, isn't it? Varshtahl tried it on Matrix and it worked fine.

I highly doubt this. I am on Matrix (OSMC) and it is not working.

I highly doubt this. I am on Matrix (OSMC) and it is not working. I can confirm this...
Probably we should all collect our setup, if not already done.

Yesterday I did a fresh install on another SD-card with LibreElec v18.9 Leia on my Raspberry Pi3 and everything works fine!

May I ask you what version of widevine did you install? The latest or the former suggested by inpustreamer helper? Thank you. :)
Sorry i see that it didn´t wrote which Kodi Version im Using.
Device Raspberry Pi 3b OS: OMSC Kodi Version: Matrix (19.x)
When chakubie says that a fresh OS install is the solution, than is looks really like a broken dependencie (older Softwareversion). But to make a fresh OS install is not really a solution for me, especially because i have to konfig the youtube app again and im a lazy person.
I am also facing the same issue. I am on rasp pi 2 OSMC Leia Tried logging out / in Updating add on and input stream helper. Nothing worked

I have installed kodi 18.9 Leia from scratch (Matrix cannot be installed) in different images (Enigma2 OS) and I can't get it to work...

I installed version 13904.55.0
Hello, I sorted it out for LibreElec, without reinstall all the system. :) First, I removed widevine from inputstream helper, after I removed Amazon VOD, inputstreamer helper and inputstreamer. Second, I updated libreElec from 9.2.6 to 9.2.8 with the manual update in the gui (all the settings and databases was left unaltered). After the final reboot I installed Amazon VOD with all the dependencies (inputstream, inputstreamhelper). Finally I installed the latest widevine from the first play on Amazon VOD, and all worked fine, now I can see movies and tv series. Thanks to everybody. :) LibreElec 9.2.8, Leia 18.9 Raspberry 3 Ciao. :)
Yesterday i have had the same problem. LibreElec 9.2.8 - Leia 18.9 - Raspi 3 Reinstallation of widevine doesn´t help. Today i restart my raspi. Now playing videos works without problems
kodi log includes 'The soupsieve package is not installed. CSS selectors cannot be used.' But it seems that doesn´t matter.
I did almost the same as @Ventresca68 but simpler. Go to Add Ons/Program Add Ons and select inputstreamer helper Remove widevine (I could not remove inputstreamer helper due to having netlfix as well) Go back to add Ons, select Amazon VOD Information, uninstall Reboot Reinstall Amazon VOD from the repo I had already created as a source the first time, many months ago Had to open and close Amazon VOD it before I could login with settings Reinstall widevine from when prompted after selecting a show Now works! LIbreElec 10.0, Leia 19.1.0, Raspberry Pi 4
