Here I will list all dis-/approved suggestions from the community. Feel free to comment on this issue with your suggestion and we will evaluate it.

  • Chorus Fruit/Popped Chorus Fruit (When a soldier is fighting another, if he has this item, he will teleport at random around the other soldier to gain hits on said solder)
  • TNT (A throwable item that the clay soldier can throw to cause a small explosion, 1 use, no environmental damage)

Features to bring back

  • Clay Soldiers building (If you give them wood in certain amounts, they will build buildings for themselves. Stack ideas - 5 wood/Small house - 10 Wood/Medium House - 20 wood/Large House - 30 Wood/Church - 45 Wood/Barracks - 64 Wood/Castle (Building will differ depending on wood used)
  • Clay Soldiers able to access items in chests
  • Clay Statistic Thing
  • Bring back spawn eggs, when you drop them on a certain soldier they will turn in to an easter egg skin.

  • I'll consider the ore-type soldiers, leaves, logs. Planks are already confirmed

  • Wool soldiers most likely not, as they won't be easily distinguishable from the regular clay soldiers

  • Spawn eggs: we'll have a way better system planned to support all current and future teams

  • There'll maybe a turtle-like equivalent to the mammoth (like your boat suggestion) but no outright boats. Mounts should be animal-like creatures, not man-made objects.

  • Bears, maybe as companions, but not as mounts, but I'll check on that with SilverChiren

  • Mammoth already confirmed

  • No Lizards, as they aren't distinguishable enough from geckos to be considered a separate mount

  • Sea turtles: already a feature from the old version

  • Chariots: Same with boats: no man-made objects

  • Crocodile: maybe as a companion

  • Bat: maybe??? (they would be like pegasi, so dunno)

  • Silverfish: maybe

  • Stained glass is already implemented!?

  • End Crystal/Nether Star: I'm very cautious with using end-tier items, so most likely not

  • Mob heads: already planned

  • Slimeball: already planned

  • Bucket: too big for a soldier to wear, so no

  • Chorus Fruit: maybe

  • TNT: already planned as infinite provider for gunpowder

  • Fermented spider eye: already planned for sth. else

San you should also add a new item, dye on a fishing rod. crafted by placing 1 fishing rod plus a dye in the crafting table. Function - When fishing rod is casted on to the ground somewhere, the clay soldiers will swarm around it like they have a king. im sure this is a function already but i can not get it to work for some reason. Have a good day :P

Suggestions: Bow-40 uses. shoots arrows that deal 3-4 damage. can only be used if arrow is equipped. Eye of Ender-when HP hits 25% teleports the soldier a random distance from the location Dragon Egg-soldier gets 50x hp. makes all limited use items last 100x longer. it's attacks deal 300% more damage. gives the soldier wings. Potion-1 use. can be thrown in a distance. effect depends on the potion used Ice(block)-10 uses-freezes enemies rendering them unable to attack and use their items for 3 seconds.also slows Mounts: Elephant-all damage taken by soldier is directed to the elephant. unlike other mounts Elephant can attack by itself. it's damage is 50% of it's rider's best weapon

you should bring back the ability for clay soldiers to make houses again it sounds like a good idea i honestly don't know why you took it out please bring that back.

The mod is in alpha, so not everything is implemented yet. Also house building will come back as an addon when the mod is finished.

Here a few ideas for CSM

Bows- dropping string and sticks will have the soldiers make little bows. the bows require sticks to shoot (as arrows) and deplete a soldiers health either by half or a instant kill.

Alliances- different colors of clay might become allied and turn into a new mix of the 2 colors. some colors will never ally with others (like red and blue). this option could be disabled in mod settings, and maybe a new item called "allegiance banner" (sort of like the opposite of the disrupters). the "Allegiance Banner" would work by simply clicking on to nations to combine them together.

Collection- the soldiers can be equipped with axes and pickaxes to mine nearby recources and possibly craft their own upgrades.

Cities/economy- id love to see some civilian clay (perhaps just unarmed soldiers?) that focus on building towns and collecting resources and crafting upgrades.

Mobs- mobs can attack the soldiers, and vise versa. however because of their small size the soldiers would be very hard to hit/kill. soldiers are also almost undetectable by mobs unless they are picking a fight to get mobs away from their town or looking for resources.

Walls- in correlation with my civilian idea, civilians will build walls made of wood or any resource they can find. maybe the houses will also be built by this type of block. (block size would be about the normal height for a block, normal length, but width would be 1/3)

roads and cities- nations will eventually build multiple cities. they will also build roads in the cities and from city to city to increase travel speed.

Carts- maybe some type of small animal could pull small carts they have a low passenger cap but can carry materials. maybe they can only drive on roads giving roads a purpose, and maybe a type of explorer wagon that can travel on all terrain but water.

Clay soldier forge- each city depending on size will produce "taxes" for the color. once a certain point is reached, a furnace is built in a house and then little baby soldiers are made.

Taxes- taxes are generated by cities. taxes are used to buy furnaces and eventually a new generation. taxes are also needed to upkeep a large army or workforce. if not enough taxes are being paid to upkeep the army, the army will drop their weapons and become civilians. (this option can be disabled)

recruitment- for a civilian to become a soldier, they will have to be trained in an army camp (a building civilians build). they then will be given some kind of weapon. after they are armed and trained they become a soldier. (trained civilians can also just be spawned in so players looking to host massive battles don't have to wait for taxes and cities)

These last ideas are very far from CSM's current game play so maybe this could be some sort of optional add on. but i do understand these ideas are far fetched so if you reject them i get it.

id love to see some soldiers with muskets and cannons. they would line up and do some cool 16th century battles. maybe some galleons can be included too. also maybe the soldiers can dig mini tranches in blocks to decrease the chance of an enemy hitting them with a ranged weapon. also id love to see some WW1 things such as mini tanks, aircraft carriers, battle ships, AA guns, and biplanes.

-Eye of Ender Ranged ability. When used, the target's position is revealed to nearby allies of the user. This nullifies the egg upgrade of the target. Perhaps this is just a passive ability where the user shares vision with allies.

-Redstone Torch Melee weapon/upgrade. Increases the duration of status effects inflicted by the equipped soldier. Perhaps inflicts normal duration against targets with iron block-upgraded shields. Does not apply to afterburn.

-Popped Chorus Fruit A soldier carrying this upgrade can cure an enderpearl/zombie soldier. Perhaps they can only do this to zombies that would normally be allies. I don't think they should have to kill the zombie, as a similar result could be achieved by just giving them clay.

-Pumpkin/Jack-o-lantern Equipped soldier will actively seek out and attack zombie soldiers but will be neutral towards non-zombie soldiers. Maybe non-zombies will also be neutral toward the equipped soldiers. Like sponge, but for zombies. Maybe the soldier can also cure zombies by killing them or has more uses on the above upgrade.

-Firework Rocket Projectile explosive, single use. I can entirely understand if this idea is denied, but it's worth putting it out there.

-Shulker Shell (Sorry if this is considered end-tier) Defensive/support upgrade. A soldier equipped with a shulker shell becomes immune to standard projectiles, spare for emeralds. Perhaps provides allies with a defensive buff - or puts up a barrier, if possible. Maybe the equipped soldier's attack options are limited or they just become passive and instead closely follow allies. May require a brick as a prerequisite to limit the soldier's offensive potential. Or this idea might be completely ridiculous.

-Tripwire Hook A ranged weapon that pulls the target toward the user. If the target has an iron ingot, the user will instead be pulled toward the target. This is counteracted if the user also has an iron ingot. A soldier pulled by this weapon - whether target or user - will be dragged off of a mount they are riding.

-Banner (I imagine this would be quite difficult to implement, but I figured I'd throw it out there.) Changes the function of the Nexus so soldiers can't destroy/deactivate it simply by attacking it. Instead, the Nexus takes on a more "capture the flag"-like function. When attacked, the Nexus would produce a flag that the attacking soldiers will try to take back to their own Nexus. Defending soldiers will attack the flag carrier at all costs. If it is successfully captured, the Nexus it came from is destroyed/disabled as normal. Optionally, the soldier carrying the flag may have drawbacks such as limited mobility, the inability to attack, or the defending soldiers may be able to easily track the carrier.

New suggestions: Support items: We clearly need some diversity here, although there is glistering melon, that's all there is, that's the only support item in this mod, we need more diversity with weapons and not make them all damage-based. also it'll be interesting Support items: Golden apple-4 uses, heals 50% of soldier's max HP and also grants Absorption for 10 seconds that absorbs 4 damage Shiny golden apple-2 uses, heals an ally for all their hp and grants them Resistance,Absorption 3 and Regeneration II for 5 seconds Eye Of Ender-1 use, soldier targets a location and channels for 3 seconds, then teleports itself and all nearby allied clay soldiers to the target location Tipped Arrow-20 uses, deals 3-5 damage and also grants the effect of the tipped arrow, targets allies instead if the tipped arrow's effect is beneficial Leash-soldier throws a leash, if it hits a non-allied clay soldier, it is unable to move or attack while the soldier pulls the leashed soldier into it. My suggestions:

  • Upgrades:
    1. Elytra (Allows Soldiers to fly, but not as high as pegasi)
    2. Eye of Ender (Allows Soldier to Teleport 2 blocks towards/away from the target depending on health, since Ender Pearl already does something)
    3. Soul Sand (Allows soldier to gain life upon killing a foe, much like the zombies)
    4. Lever (Acts like a hammer. Swings slower, deals more damage)
    5. Coal (Allows Coal Soldiers to become living torches, does not take burn damage. If on fire, burns enemy on contact)
    6. Charcoal (Same as Coal, but not for Coal Soldiers, for every other soldier instead)
    7. Prismarine (Allows Soldiers to breath underwater, little oxygen mask appears)
    8. End Rod (Acts like a spear: increased range, increased damage, slightly slower attack speed, can only hold a shield as secondary)
    9. Armored Mounts (Can use leather armor to armor. Acts like a shield for not just ranged attacks, but also negates some damage from melee)
  • Utilities:
    1. Dragon's Breath (Allows Soldier to "breath fire" for 3 seconds)
    2. Totem of Undying (When a soldier dies holding it, any friendly soldiers in a 2x2 block radius become invulnerable for 2 seconds)
    3. Strength Potion, any kind works the same (Makes soldier into a Colossus: Bigger in size, increased HP, increased damage, can hold swords, moves slower, attacks slower, can't mount)
  • Bring-backs:
    1. Building Mechanism (And maybe add more buildings, like a water building with planks in 4 directions)
    2. Clay Nexus (Would really like to use it as a "control point" mechanism)
  • Mounts:
    1. Dragons (Crafting like pegasi, only with dyed clay, also requires eye of ender, which is to the left of the feather. Flies higher than pegasi, slightly more durable than pegasi, shoots fireballs that don't burn environment, just soldiers. Requires iron chestplate for armored dragon. Can carry 2 riders)
    2. Crocodiles (Crafting Recipe is like turtles, only with a line in this order: Soul Sand, material, material. Can bite for damage. Is considerably bigger than gecko so as to differentiate. Armoring is just like dragon. Can also carry 2 riders. Does swim)
    3. Goat (Jumps slightly lower than bunny, can ram enemies (including other mounts) for lots of damage. Can't be armored)
    4. Clay Spider (Recipe is: Dyed Hardened Clay in all corners, soul sand in middle. Climbs one block higher than geckos, moves faster than geckos. Can't be armored)
    5. Hydra (Recipe is 3 dragons of the same material above a nether star in the middle. MUCH bulkier than dragon, moves slower than all mounts. Shoots 3 fireballs at once. Can bite for slightly less damage than crocodile. Can't fly. Requires Diamond chestplate to armor. Does not regrow heads, heads are meant to show health in thirds. Only 1 rider, unlike the dragon. Recipe, including armor, is very expensive due to it being probably the best mount)

Anyway, these are a couple of suggestions, and I assume many of them have been used before, but please take these into account, and I hope that they will be accepted.

A couple of suggestions I posted on discord.

  1. Fireworks rocket, 1 use, when the clay soldier equipped with it hits another clay soldier it will launch it into the air and explode with the firework rocket.
  2. Clay blocks, core upgrade, when given to soldier it makes the soldier's arms get bigger like the iron ingot and makes the soldier be as tall as a block or less. It also gives it 3 times the health as a regular soldier, and it moves slowly and attacks slowly. It cannot ride any mounts.
  3. Obsidian, 1-2 uses, throwable, requires a iron ingot core soldier to use, and when it is thrown at another soldier it will create a black hole effect that sucks in all enemy clay soldiers within a 6 block radius. (I know this may be already on your idea list, but I just wanted to add on to it.)

Any idea why larger clay companions are a definite no? I'd love to see it in either this mod or an addon(4 clay blocks around a soul sand makes a life core, build like an iron golem, clay on the bottom left right and top with life core in the middle). Has half the health of the player, follows the player around and can help the player, much like wolves.

  1. Iron Bar - 1 use, when used the soldier creates a barrier that acts as a shield around itself and makes it unattackable for 6 seconds. The soldier also cannot move, but can still attack.
  2. Magma Block - Same as fireballs, just adds a lot of uses to it like emerald blocks.
  3. Vines - Acts like boots, same uses as leather, applies a tiny bit of speed and allows soldier to attack faster.
  4. Music disc - When soldier picks it up it will start playing the disc's song and emit a particle effect. When right clicked on soldier it stops playing and gains a new particle effect to show that he has one. You can right click it again to play it.
  5. Tipped Arrows, same as arrow but when used it applies a potion effect to the victim.
  6. Bear - Companion, little less health than a turtle, follows soldier who tamed around and helps him in battle with a strike attack. Giving leather to the bear makes it have armor, and you can give wool to it just as you can with soldiers.
  7. Iron Nugget, 3 uses, when used it makes soldiers have a spectral arrow effect and calls all soldiers who are not in battle in a 10 block radius to help attack.

  1. Redstone Torch - Like a stick but gives a redstone effect to the victim.
  2. Eye of Ender - 3 uses, when used it makes the victim go blind for a while like redstone except more uses.
  3. Tripwire Hook - 3 uses, when used it is thrown at a soldier or something else the soldier can come and get it back, basically a throwing knife. When victim is hit it is either an instant kill or takes off half health. If it takes off half health the hook will gradually take damage off of the victim over time because it is stuck inside it. The soldier can get it back when he dies.

Soul Sand: Being imbued with extra souls gives the soldier the ability to give life to inanimate clay lumps/blocks around it, as well as revive fallen allies. Bricked ones will still require ghast tears, however.

Cool. You still opposed to larger clay soldiers? Also, iron nuggets as an extra throwing item, can have infinite supply with iron block (not iron ingot, as that already gives soldiers an iron core).

There's already a larger soldier, but it's an easter egg nobody found out how to get until now. Iron nuggets are already on the "approved" list with sth. else in mind

Here is my ideas. by me (jesus11q)

-netherrack soldiers.

-ice soldiers.

-bring back this: the soldier hurt sound

-sponge soldiers.

-apple soldiers.

-mecha soldiers (a robot soldier)

-magma soldiers.

-bedrock soldiers (make them the only soldier pacific type).

-bring to light: the star fruit.

-cobblestone soldiers.

-wool soldiers. i know that its disapproved, but use the classic wool textures for make them more distinguashable.

-end-items. why that are disapproved? that maybe will be cool!

-disapproved mounts. why? dragons are very cool!

-bring back this: when the soldiers attacks the hostile mobs like in the classic mod.

-why no-man-made objects? thats maybe will be cool.

-bring to light: dog and cat mounts.

-cactus soldiers

-clay skeleton.

-cake soldiers.

-cookie soldiers.

-Golden apple soldiers( a counterpart of the normal apple soldiers)

-clay creeper.

-clay snowman.

-clay enderman.

-players tools and weapons: make them little like the soldiers weapons

-concrete soldiers: make them with only one simple color for one like the concrete blocks. with the simple color will be distinguashable

-golden apple: when a soldier eats it, a powerup effect will be present in the soldier, like in the player powerup effect

-ice block: gives to the soldier a ice breath that can freeze other soldiers.

-clay cake (item like the pumking cake): gives to the soldier a health refull

-emerald: gives to the soldier a emerald crown, cape and armour thats makes he a Ultimate soldier. or add another item that makes that

-pocion effects

-dyable armors for the soldiers, includes a helmet type that is correctly small for the soldiers,

-bring to light: the fairyes and the fairy fruits

-OPTIONAL: add a Clay soldiers dimension.

-the soldiers can up the ladder stairs.

-if you can, add a alien soldiers and space oxygen helmet addon for the galacticraft mod.

-and bring back the soldier sitdown

and here is my ideas and the Why for the disapproved ideas. please give a reply with the approved and disapproved points about this.

more Ideas: -Dragon mount(can carry 2 clay soldiers, can fly) -Bring back the wood building feature, with more buildings ofc -Soldiers compatible with potion effects -Vines(soldier's attacks slow enemies) -Torch (held item, soldier gives off light) -Ice Block (projectile, deals 1-2 damage, enemies hit are crippled, making them take 3 more damage from all damage dealt to them for 5 seconds) -Tripwire Hook (projectile, deals 3-4 damage, upon hitting an enemy soldier or reaching end of range the hook goes back) -Egg (projectile, deals 0 damage, and all clay soldiers nearby will attack the soldier who was hit by the egg, basically a signal to attack that particular soldier)

  • Iron Ingot, now occasionally reflects 1 damage to soldiers who attack it with melee Item Combos: if soldier has 2 of the same item it can use a special attack for once Blaze Rod+Blaze Powder: Fire Blast, next attack causes fires to burst, dealing damage to everyone near the attacked soldier Fire Charge+Blaze Powder:Scorched Earth, next attack causes the earth to be scorched near the attacked soldier, setting it on fire Bone Meal+Bone: Revitalization: causes next attack to radiate an aura that heals nearby allies
