Support of Web Push subscription with `applicationServerKey`

Dear Samsung Internet Dev Rel Team,

If I am not mistaken, even the latest version of Samsung Internet relies on GCM’s proprietary API to perform push subscriptions: the web app manifest must include a gcm_sender_id field.

In light of Google having announced that GCM could be fully deprecated as soon as April 11, 2019, what are your plans regarding full adoption of the Web Push protocol, especially the ability to subscribe to push events using the public applicationServerKey instead?

We would gladly appreciate an insight or signal regarding how we should prepare to get our applications ready if they are relying on gcm_sender_id for push notifications on Samsung Internet.
