Everything seems to work fine including cleanup+ on modern Blockly after the merge. It's definitely possible I introduced some regressions though since I didn't double-check if the new cleanup userscript...
What if this was implemented as a picture-in-picture window instead of a browser tab? Edit: is that what you meant by "floating browser window/tab"

I know the project preview and tab addons are buggy together in general but I'm not able to replicate this crash. Could you share your enabled addons? Also what errors...
If you have other browser extensions installed could you try disabling them?

An addon to collapse scripts (#1199) would be easier to figure out how to get the blocks back compared to just hiding them entirely.
