Installer error with duplicate Opportunity Record Type names

The GEM Installer includes a step to Deploy Custom NPSP Metadata that includes unmanaged Opportunity Record Types.

If the receiving organization already has Opportunity Record Type(s) that match the unmanaged metadata, the install fails:

By comparison, the NPSP installer does not include any unmanaged Opportunity record types and will only confirm that a Sales Process/Record Type exists.

The current workaround is to change the Developer name of the existing Record Type, avoiding those included with the install:
