Display all shifts on a given day from one job as one entry on Calendar

I'm wondering if it is possible to show just jobs on the Job Shift Calendar instead of job shifts. I realize the name of the calendar would indicate that you can't, but unfortunately we have several cases where there are a lot of shifts in a single day, and so the calendar is so crowded that it is unusable when it displays shifts. Thanks for any help you can provide!

my response: sorry, currently no way to display just jobs on the calendar. we wouldn't know what day to display it on, nor would we know what shift to assign the volunteer to on signup! I'll add a feature request to the issues list to add a feature that would collapse all shifts on the same day for a specific job to show up as one entry on the calendar.

At a pro-bono event today and some potential V4S users had the same concern! They're a small non-profit organizing community festivals, which results in there being a very large number of volunteer shifts on a select number of days. So there's definitely still interest in this, even 5 years later.
