I've created an alternative fork here. I am using a fork of the BDFDB library which I intend to keep up-to-date with DevilBro's. This also allows for compatibility with DevilBro's other plugins.

That fork is not up to date with DevilBro's.

It runs side to side with BDFDB and does not rely on it is what I meant. It is more of standalone plugin but also allows for compatibility with DB's plugins. If I understand it correctly that is.

I've just tested using the official library -- that fork prompts you to install its version of the library, which is not kept up to date with DevilBro's. It also prompts you to install it each time Discord is launched, even when it's already installed. It may work, but it looks pretty clunky to me.
