Ensure to remove openATTIC (and enable the Dashboard?) when upgrading from Luminous to Mimic
I just wanted to leave this here as a reminder - when performing an upgrade from Ceph "Luminous" to "Mimic", DeepSea might need to take care of disabling and removing openATTIC prior to the upgrade, as the development of openATTIC has been merged with the Ceph Dashboard in Mimic. In addition, it might make sense to ensure that the dashboard is enabled and configured properly after the Ceph Manager from Mimic is up and running.
Shouldn't we wait until the Manager Dashboard finally reached feature parity? Right now this seems to be a bit to early in my mind. I think this would be a task for nautilus or by the end of this year.
I'm not quite sure if openATTIC still works as expected when the Ceph cluster is updated from Luminous to Mimic. There might have been changes that break the oA backend.
That's something that could be easily tested. I think we should try this first before we switch to the mgr dashboard at this point in time.
