No idea why

Seems to have something to do with the underlying app using the same keyboard shortcuts. It works fine in Gnome terminal, but not in Chrome (presumably because Chrome also has Ctrl + N). Also, using a longer timeout fixes it, but the timeout has to be reeeeeealy long (~200ms).

@SUPERCILEX there's one more issue that when you open that dialog with shortcut and then select entry with up down arrow and then when you click enter button present in numlock then nothing happens but when you press that big enter button then it works fine so please take a look at this also.

I've noticed it quite a lot of times that the paste on click didn't work when manually opening the menu and selecting the item from the list. Though I can not reliably reproduce it.

Edit: Or maybe I can. Being in Chrome, then copying something, selecting a text input, opening the CB history menu and selecting a previous item does not insert it. It only inserts it after the second click. I am pretty sure this has happened in other apps as well.
