[SUGGESTION] A true music
I know a Youtuber called Mewmore who made an awesome remix of the Overworld theme from PokémonGO. You definitely need to ask him about using his music into the game (because for me, even if I have selected the music into the menu of the game, nothing can be hearing). Might be fun to put several different remixes in the settings and let you mess with the one you want.

There are pretty cool musics, but Mewmore is a nice guy, if you ask him to use his music, he will just ask for some credits, that's it!
Sure thing, but there is copyright on the original music, not on all the remixes.
This whole project is copyrighted anyway. It is open source, they cant really copyright that
Yeah, but we have the opportunity to have a different and a better app than the true one, so we could use different musics :)
It wouldn't match, then you need a custom made tune for everything. I have all the files decrypted of Pokemon GO, like button sounds etc. Probably gonna pr them soon if I have time
i think the music you proposed is not good as background music. But is just my opinion
@viniciusbrasil the real big problem is that I got something around 66 files and the names look like shit, I seriously know around 5 sounds where to use them xD
Sorry, but how about no? This app is intended to look like the official one. Meaning the music would be the same, too.
Okay, but we have the advantage to make the app better than the original.
It is easy to have custom music, but it id bad music what he suggests. Official one is better for background anyway
@Kaankehh the pokemon trademark is registered, but one could argue that we are using it under fair use.
With this in mind, if we do not use their music and fx, we are good for now. That's probably why we have not yet receive a Cease and desist order. They could, of course, send a cease and desist at any time (it's their prorrogative) and we could not comply with it.
Then, they could Lawer Up and defend on court that our current usage is not under fair use terms. Our donations could be a problem under that side.
So will the music be introduced? I see the option but I can't see anything. I'd like some 8bit style of the first generation 😃
