uac cannot register and receive a call

Open msoulier opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

I have a B2BUA that I need to test with. I want to register 2 UACs with it, and then have one call the other. AFAICT this cannot be done with sipp, as both instances will be in UAC mode and then I get errors when an INVITE comes in.

Is this a bug or am I missing a way to have one UAC call the other, which seems like a fairly basic scenario.

From my point of view sipp can do this. Can you share more information, e.g. your XML files, especially how the B side UAS looks like.

In general you will need Register + UAC on A side and Register + UAS on B side (check examples in the sipp_scenarios folder and combine existing XMLs according to your needs).

Bad practice imo. Use a separate UAC (e.g. uac_register.xml) to perform all the Registrations and then a UAS(e.g. uas_call.xml) to receive the call afterwards. Separation of concerns, modularity, reuse etc.
