Scrobbling icon displayed even when 'show scrobble bubble' is unchecked in plugin settings

Kodi Leia (v18), Installed in Windows 10 x64 LTSB

Action: Uncheck "show scrobble bubble", watch 70% of an episode Expected Behavior: Episode is scrobbled, but silently (no icon shows) Actual Behavior: Episode is scrobbled, but icon (bubble?) shows in top left corner

If you'd like any logs, please let me know where to find them.

I realize there's no eta for this, but still wanted to ping back just in case:

I believe this is still happening on Kodi Matrix (v19.3 in my case). I would love to use the simkl scrobbler since the service works so well, but really don't want bubbles popping up in the middle of a movie.

Has there been any progress on this item?

Just found a post about this in 2025. Can't believe this tiny feature hasn't been implemented since 2019 aha.
