Help replacing spawn eggs with their correct colors.

The question

Hey, so I've been at work trying to port a CIT Hypixel Skyblock texture pack over to 1.21.1, and I've came across an issue I can't seem to find a solution for.

For some strange reason, when I try to replace any spawn eggs, their color overlay is still intact and messes with the image blend of the original image.

(Note: The shown item is supposed to replace the mooshroom spawn egg)

See how Spawned Eggs does that, it should be helpful. Looks like u need to override default spawn egg's item model
