Geometry Buffer weird behavior

This one can be hard to replicate so I will just describe some things I have seen happen:

• Sometimes if the buffer is left open too long it will stop being able to play
• clearing the buffer and refilling it does not always actually clear the buffer, and will sometimes result in the old buffer set still being sent out
• messing with the timing and step size seems to make it mad (will sometimes freeze up)
• clearing the buffer while it is playing seems to have no effect
