Continuation of #1637

  • [ ] Allow use of semicolon at end of line
  • [ ] improve error reporting of matlab parser
  • [ ] Support more matlab datatypes
  • [ ] Support more matlab syntax
  • [ ] Support more lines of code (blocks?)
  • [ ] Extracting general matlab engine management code to a higher level
  • [ ] Code maintenance of python helper functions

No, I have been using the direct python interface for any of these related needs so far. I am not sure if anyone else is using this at the moment. I can check in our group.
