DNP3 unsolicited messages

Folks,

I am working with a customer that uses DNP3 devices, however these devices use a resource of DNP3 protocol called unsolicited messages.

The customer use this resource for class 1 digital points, for analog points they use request analog input (DNP object 30) every 2 minutes.

Binary input (object 01) Analog input (object 30)

For unsolicited messages works properly, first the master (SCADA) sends a disable unsolicited , after while it sends an enable unsolicited to the remote device. Then the points in the remote device are sent automatically to the SCADA which answers with a ACK to the remove device.

Is this resource available?

We will try to verify it and come back with an answer. However, this protocol is not used by our customers, so our knowledge of it is quite limited. We could implement the potential implementation of such a function as an order.

Hi @rodrigoms2004, This issue should be opened. If we undertake the implementation then we will close. This is a permanent notice that this feature is not available now. The problem is that we have to balance limited resources with the features that are used the most.

If there are at least two or more users who need this feature, it will be an argument to take care of it. You can look for an additional person who would be interested in her.
