Similar RtotalX metabolites or not?

Open smoretti opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

Hi I wonder if the metabolites Rtotal, Rtotal2 and Rtotal3 are the same or not.

It looks the stoichiometric coefficient associated with the R group is more an index - according to "position" in the metabolite name as well as with the charge of the 3 metabolites that do not vary - than the number of R groups. If this is an index, it means formula are wrong.

I noticed a similar thing for Rtotalcoa, Rtotal2coa and Rtotal3coa. Also with Rtotalcrn, Rtotal2crn and Rtotal3crn. It could be the case for others.

I'm not quite sure, but I would also be it's an index. The formulas are certainly ambiguous as is.

I'm marking this for follow up with the authors.

We've asked for some clarity from VMH on this issue. Will pass on their response once received.
