[Feature Request] Customization optiions of the StartDate Selector of SinglePlanningCalendar

Open daletman opened this issue 9 months ago • 2 comments

I would like to have the option to customize the behaviour of the StartDate selector. Basically the same options as I have with the sap.ui.unified.Calendar. It is, for example, very unfortunate, that I can't set it to show 12 months, when I'm in the month view of the SinglePlanningCalendar. Currently, it is just as fast (or even faster) to use the next button next to the today button of the SPC, to got 5 months forwards, than using the Calendar selector.

Hi @daletman,

just for my understanding: What do you exactly mean by "Basically the same options as I have with the sap.ui.unified.Calendar"? As far as I know, there is no option as of yet in the Calendar to initially show the months. The calendar of the SinglePlanningCalendar behaves exactly like the unified.Calendar afaik.

Could you specifiy what exactly you wish for? Do you want to define which view (day, month, year) is initially shown upon pressing the StartDate button? As of now, you can switch the view to month by pressing on the month itself

An option to start with the month view when the SinglePlanningCalendar is in month view would be appreciated. In my opinion it does not make a lot of sense to show a single month with all days since clicking on any day has the same action.

The sap.ui.unified.Calendar has the option to show multiple months at the same time through the months property: https://ui5.sap.com/1.133.0/#/api/sap.ui.unified.Calendar%23controlProperties
