[Feature Request] SinglePlanningCalendarView for YearView
I would like to display a complete year as an overview in the same way the current MonthView works. Unfortunately the Grid of the Month view is hardcoded and noch extensible.
A screentshot as an inspiration of what I mean:
Hello @daletman ,
Thank you for sharing your enhancement proposal. I've created an internal incident DINC0403153. The status of the issue will be updated here in GitHub.

Hi @daletman,
I'd like to understand more about the problem you'd like to solve. Why do you need such a view and how do you intend to use it? Why the Month view is not enough? From the screenshot I see placeholders for existing events - do you need from them to be active or you only need to have a visual representation for the occupied periods and no further actions on top?
Have in mind that our software complies with different product standards and one of them relies on that every actionable element to have an area of minimum 24x24px, which could not be achieved in the mentioned situation. It has to be also responsive, so it could be opened and used on a tablet and phone too.
For example, on our sap.m.PlanningCalendar there's Months view where the overlapping appointments are grouped by default in order to save space. They could be also expanded through groupAppointmentsMode property.
Thanks & Regards, Diana
I would like to show an overview, so that it is possible to see at a glance where are free days or weeks. With the month view it's not very practical to skip to every month. The shown placeholders of existing event don't need to be interactive but clicking on a day should fire an event so that I can jump to the day in month/week/day view.
Hi @daletman,
Thanks for your answers. We'll now sync with Design to think whether and what we could provide. As far as I understand, your need is an overview for the free days/weeks. Having in mind the accessibility & responsiveness concerns, if there's a solution to that, it may differ from your inspiration screenshot. Could you please share are you using the open part of our framework or you're part of an organization?
Thanks & Regards, Diana
I'm part of a commercial organization where we use SAPUI5 but I also use the open part (openUI5) to build something for a non profit organization in my free time.
