macOS-enterprise-privileges User Toggle Timeout is not working.

Privileges app does not toggle user back to standard user after 20 mins. User stays admin until the Dock icon is hit again. M2 Macbook Air on Sonoma 14.1.2 I have included my config file Privileges.mobileconfig.txt

Same issue here, macOS 14.4.1 on a MB Pro M3. We are using a Config Profile to set the Max Time. Works when not using the Config Profile and only the Dock Option.

We are testing this as well and we seem to be having the same issue. macOS 14.3 is what we have been testing on and the timeout is not working.

This will be fixed in Privileges 2.0.0, which will be available later this year.

Is this fix readily available internally where it could be cherry picked into a 1.5.5 release?

It doesn't seem that the issue exists in 1.5.3. So we could potentially run the version of the app that has a CVE exploit (not great) or wait till X amount of time until 2.0 is released.

Is there a firmer release date for 2.0?

We still use 1.5.4 internally on 40.000 machines and are unable to reproduce this issue. Any issue you might see with the timeout should be fixed in version 2 because it has been completely rewritten and works a bit different than version 1.x. The new version is currently tested and will be available in fall.
