Rotating RPM terrain display
Not sure to put this here, but I wanted to ask. I kind of need a 'look ahead' terrain display.
I know that ScanSat has maps that can do that. Is it possible to have a map like this (ignore dotted lines and arrows):
This would be for RPM.
The plane stays still at the bottom and the map displaying terrain data rotates around. The radar 'sweeps' from left to right redrawing the map as you go.
Real aircraft use these and can switch between terrain and weather, but as there is no weather in KSP I can skip that one.
I've seen suggestions for something like this before. It's an interesting idea.
A continuously updating map wouldn't be possible, it's too CPU hungry. But some kind of periodically updating display might work.
it would just be a short range one and would only have data on terrain height it also would refresh similar to the way the main map does. But sweeping from side to side.
