change the joystick deadzone to .20 on both sticks
I'm getting this issue as well on both the Nintendo Pro Controller and the Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro. The issue actually also goes to the motion sensing sensitivity too where it pulls to a direction (usually to the right in my case). The issue goes away after a bit on the stick after setting the deadzone to 0.20.
The problem also persists again if the stick gets disconnected (idle) and reconnected during emulation.
I can fix this to a certain degree by increasing the deadzone for the sticks and motion controller, but it's worse than normal (usually with the hall effect Gulikit Stick I can have the deadzone very close to zero, 0.10 at most).
I also get this on my first party switch pro controller when connected to ryujinx. Stick drift can occur even with deadzone set to 0.20. It is not hardware stick drift because the controller does not exhibit any drift when connected to the switch. I am also not able to reproduce in other emulators that also use SDL input.
I am also having the exact same issue (left stick drift and motion control drift to the right) on the official switch pro controller on macOS. On my switch lite as well as on other emulator (CEMU) this issue does not exist so I'm assuming it's just a problem with Ryujinx.
Ok, I'll check it out. But I still think that this is a temporary solution.

Can't use right hand ability after i completed some task/ mission in zora kingdom. No option comes after i press right hand assigned left button on my xbox pro controller, it was working ok before. Please help anyone.
I am also having this issue with an official Nintendo Pro controller. Do not see on actual switch or other emulators so appears to be specific to Ryujinx. When adding a deadzone of .2 I do not see as bad but still seems to pop up on occasion.
This is a Ryujinx issue.
The solution I found that is consistently working so far is to do several quick 360 full circle rotations on the analog sticks (both left and right) to calibrate the extreme ends of the stick and the center, and the problem usually goes away for the remainder of the emulation session. The problem always comes back when booting a new emulation session, but the fix is pretty easy/trivial for now.
On macOS with Ryujinx v.1.1.1100 there are two issues.
- right drift
- controller randomly not working at all although selected in settings Original Pro Controller used, works great with Switch.
Why do people have lines like these in their logs?
Module: D:\home\Project\EX-King\App\Rom\NX64\Product_Optimize\code\EX-King.nss
I saw also other examples like:
Module: D:\home\Project\Secred\App\Rom\NX64\Product_Optimize\code\Secred.nss
or:
Module: D:\progect\risen\Zengine\Gothic 1\NX32\Release\Gothic.nss
Are these modules legit?
The issue is still here with ryujinx 1.1.1152 on windows

I think if you change the stick deadzone it should be fine, what controller are you using?
Hello, 02-27-2024 and I'm having the same problem. It also happens when the control is not connected. Tried all the suggestions on this post, but the problem remains. Can anyone help?
I'm using a steam deck with EmuDeck and I have this issue. I tried a couple games and the issue presents itself quickly.
Is there any other information you require?
Not trying to pest, but I was wondering when and if this is being worked on?
Any updates?
Test to see if this happens on SDL joystick test. I do not have an official switch pro controller to test however my 8bitdo while in switch pro mode does act the same way. The only solution is to do a full revolution of the stick once and it resolves. I was able to reproduce this in SDL joystick test. I don't see anywhere that Ryujinx treats Switch pro controller any differently than any other types of controller.
Same issue using the Switch Pro controller.
