Tried this based on playable status. It is terribly slow
Assigning "ldn-partial" label because, though the LDN functionality is working fine, the game is extremely sensitive to performance differences between clients.
Currently glitches and crashes during level loading (1.3 game update and Vulkan renderer, putting resolution scaler at 1x instead of 2 fixed it, but game crashed during race) and no crashes but major slowdown when using the OpenGL renderer, here too dropping to 1x scaler improved the situation, but still slower than native speed.
@mrtnptrs post a log of the crash with your report.
Game Update Version : 1.3 Current on master : 1.1.309
Hardware Specs : CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: AMD RX 6600 XT RAM: 16GB (Linux 5.19 tkg-pds kernel)
Whilst everyone else is testing the new Xenoblade or whatever, I thought it'd be cool to come back to this game as it's still a fun time...
All testing was done on vulkan, unless mentioned otherwise. I honestly would still consider this playable, assuming you have very high end hardware. For more reasons than just performance:
The first issue I noticed was the problem when resolution scaling. The game visibly looks fine, but the frame rate will drop abysmally to sub 20fps at random spots and back up to 60, causing a very juddery experience. This happens on OpenGL and Vulkan the same. This means to get a playable experience, resolution scaling is off the table. This is a shame because it actually looks quite good at 2x res.
The second issue I noticed was the random frame dips. These frame dips can go as low as 40fps, but luckily they're infrequent and most of the time it stays locked at 60fps. Weirdly enough using handheld mode eliminates these issues in all but fringe cases. Not that I'd complain though, as these frame drops feel like moments of 'freedom' from the very difficult fast-paced racing.
The final issue is that on some specific level previews, there can still be the over-bright lighting which used to plague the emulator previously. Luckily, this is only in the previews randomly on level and never affected gameplay whatsoever. Still could be an issue to look into perhaps?
There was also major audio desync with SDL2 audio, which isn't uncommon when I'm on Linux. However, the desync happened a lot faster than other games and in a much more noticeable way. OpenAL seemed fine though so I'm going to just say this is a Linux audio bug that is already known.
Here is a log file containing a short section of me playing:

Hopefully I can submit more of these reports soon for these less played games, as I'm sure it would be helpful
Game Update Version : 1.3 Emulator version: 1.1.343 Windows 10
Emulator is crashing everytime I am starting a level. Could not play the game.
Game Update Version : 1.3 Current on ava ldn windows: 1.1.0-ldn3.0.1
Hardware Specs : CPU: Intel i9-10900k GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE 24GB RAM: 64GB
Game is also cashing for me when loading a level after selecting a vehicle.
Game Update Version : 1.3 Emulator Version : 1.1.670
Specs : CPU: i5-12400F GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 Super RAM: 32GB
Game consistently crashes with out of memory errors making it unplayable, texture re compression doesn't help since the game is not using ASTC textures.

Game Update Version : 1.03 Current on master : 1.1.817 Backend: Vulkan
The game is playable sometimes, had no crashes during a few races but one time after I did get a crash when starting a race and one time during a race (See the logfile). It is mostly at 60 FPS, but has some slowdown at times when boosting, during which the FPS can go to the 40's. The gameplay will often, not always, be overly bright during races, but this can be fixed by disabling the Dynamic Camera Exposure option in the in-game Graphics menu. I previously (incompletely) reported here that it was caused by resolution scaling, but that doesn't seem to be the case, at least not Ryujinx's resolution scaler, maybe the game itself has one? It thus seems like the Dynamic Camera Exposure effect is often broken in this emulator and that the game suffers from crashes.

Logfiles when crashes occurred (with my hardware, running out of memory seems unlikely right? haha): Ryujinx_1.1.817_2023-05-22_22-24-27.log Ryujinx_1.1.817_2023-05-22_22-26-37.log
Just saw that these out of memory crashes are indeed a known issue: https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/issues/3523
I'm able to play this without issue...Mac mini m2pro 16gb ram using vulkan
Game Update Version : 1.3 Emulator Version : 1.1.1090
Specs : OS: Windows 11 23H2 CPU: Ryzen 9 6900HX GPU: Radeon RX 6600M RAM: 64GB
Game still randomly crashes with out of memory errors making it unplayable. It's a shame because performance is very good, running most of the time at 60 fps.
Game Update Version : 1.3 Emulator Version : 1.1.1217
hardware: windows 10 ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3015TI mobile 16 gig ram
game crashes after loading the map because of out of memory errors
Game/update: 1.3 Emulator: 1.1.1239 OS: Kubuntu 22.04 LTS HW: Core i7 9700k GTX 1080 OC 32 GB RAM Game always crashes after selecting a map for me, too. Ryujinx_1.1.1239_2024-03-17_19-24-35.log With OpenGL it gets a bit further, but memory consumption skyrockets to over 22 gigs of RAM, after which it crashes again, anyway.
i confirm, with latest release 1.1.1291 the game crashes as soon as i start a race. Game update: 1.3 Emulator: 1.1.1291 OS: windows 10
