Monster Hunter Rise

Game Update Version : 1.0.0

Current on master : 1.0.6809

Game loads and plays at a variable FPS, highly dependent on hardware and renders more smoothly out in a quest than in villages. The camera function works, but the game will crash if you try to view the pictures via the in-game album. For now, you can retrieve the pictures from AppData\Roaming\Ryujinx\sdcard\Nintendo\Album\. I've included a picture taken in-game in the screenshots below. Other items of note:

  • The title screen has a chance to render with too much shine/bloom effects.
  • Swkbd applet pops up twice for some reason when first creating a character. The second pop-up is safe to just close.
  • FIXED ~~Distant objects sometimes flicker slowly.~~

Anecdotal reports include the following:

  • AMD GPUs have great difficulty with this game in Windows but work well in Linux.
  • FIXED ~~Version 1.1.1 of the game (not tested here) crashes if shader cache is enabled~~.

"AMD GPUs have great difficulty with this game in Windows but work well in Linux." I wish that was the case for my R9 280 under Fedora. It's like this everywhere All NPCs suffer this fate Log of a run through Sandy Plains: Ryujinx_1.0.6802_2021-03-27_05-21-15.log Hunted Royal Ludroth in the Flooded Forest, then got stuck on a loading screen after the quest complete screen that wouldn't resolve and had to terminate it. Ryujinx_1.0.6802_2021-03-27_09-41-40.log The above happened again on a quest to kill Great Wroggi. This time, the audio going silent reminded me to make a note of it. Posting this since I've seen this issue being mentioned a few times, but not reported anywhere outside of Discord (or solved for that matter). There seems to be a frequent (but not always reproducible) crash in quests involving Mangmalo, in specific this log is for the quest "Comeuppance" and it occurred at the beginning thereof.

The save linked in the previous post should have quests unlocked to reproduce both issues here (cutscenes can be viewed in the Gallery in "Your Room" left to the bridge on the right side of the village by talking to the Housekeeper).

There is a rendering issue in the desert map concerning certain sand areas. Not caused or exacerbated by resolution mods as evident by the screenshots below.

The same rendering issue also can be found at the top of the Flooded Forest temple, though it's rather impractical to get there for testing purposes.

It is also present for waterfall(s) in the Flooded Forest and in the Shrine Ruins camp water stream (screenshot by BSoD).

There is also a rendering issue (sort of a flickering square effect) in the Royal Ludroth cutscene. Not caused or exacerbated by resolution mods as evident by the screenshots below.

Several users have encountered an issue where the game sound randomly stop during quests. When you try to return to the village there is an infinite loading, and the only way to close the emulator is to force quit it. Nothing in logs when it happens. I'm using OpenAL.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 RAM: 16GB

With version master : 1.0.6895 speed has been generally much improved. FIFO in the village is still almost always near 100%, but FPS are are almost double now and are in the 24-30 range (with VSYNC OFF).

You better use ldn 2.3 for better performance, it has patches for Rise not yet on master

Using Ryujinx 1.1.171. Tried to create a new save using the Sunbreak update (10.0.2). Gets to the first splash screen, sits there for a while, then crashes.

After creating a new save with the last pre-Sunbreak patch (3.9.1?) and trying to load the game, it still hits the first splash screen, sits for a moment, then crashes. Unsure if this second log will be particularly valuable. Ryujinx_1.1.171_2022-07-11_13-09-46.log

I can't start the game after finishing my character I have to give it a name, but I can't enter any letters. also tried to activate the keyboard access in controls but still nothing happens

~PSA: one of the first quests have you search for "Firelanterns", they do not render 🤣 so just go to the spots on the map and you should see the prompts to gather them anyway but don't do like me and LOOK for them because they're not there.~

everything looks perfect but I think some things do not get rendered. It is more apparent when comparing with YouTube videos.

Can't believe this game runs almost smoothly on my Macbook Air M1 on 1.1.0-macos

EDIT: Oh now it's a bigger issue than what I initially thought. ANY quest objective is not visible. Now I needed to hunt Jagras. I saw Jagras earlier when it wasn't a quest objective but now they're invisible. I attached a video of the bug happening on my Macbook.

I'm not sure if it only happens on Mac, otherwise I guess we would've heard about it already.

EDIT2: That was on 1.0. I upgraded to 14.0 (Sunbreak) and now the game crash right after the saving prompts, I see the girl sing but nothing appears and then i crashes.

EDIT3: ~Tried running on 3.9.1 (Rise) and it seems to have fixed the problem ie. I could see those same Jargas but some random things like herbs were invisible (?)~

EDIT4: Problem persists and is totally random. Even trees and mountains sometimes disappear 🤷‍♂️

Same problem as @Sew0lf, the game seems to run smoothly on my Macbook Pro M1, however, impossible to input a name for my first character. I tried the "direct keyboard access", but it does not seems to change anything. Weirdly, I was able to enter few letters at a moment, but I just can't reproduce it xD

Just use the base version of the game (1.0.0 or anything before 10.0.0). Sunbreak is not working anywhere right now in the emulator, it's not a macOS specific problem.

i was completed [finished] the game .

[BUG] its flicker hud UI on these maps ( likes zelda totk menu when first release , its look like that )

  1. Flooded Forest · sometimes flicker
  2. Frost Islands · sometimes flicker
  3. Sandy Plains · sometimes but usually

only greats works on

  1. Kamura Village
  2. Shrine Ruins no flicker hud ui , runs great
  3. Lava Caverns

The news update for macOS up to https://github.com/Ryujinx/Ryujinx/wiki/Changelog#111208---2024-02-22 is very amazing. From 12 to 15 fps, it's now at 30 fps in any area, sometimes dropping to 22-30 fps. As for the glitch screen on the first map during training, there's a glitch after playing for 1 hour in the basecamp area ( invisible cliff ) . Additionally, there's a bug when inputting nicknames for pets and characters. Later, I will upload screenshots.

I accidentally deleted my saved game, so I can't test specific maps. ryujinx 1.1.1244 - Game Update Version : 1.0.0

Without recording, its average run is 25-30 fps. Flicker appears on menus, characters, your room, etc. But in v1.0.0, there is no flicker (already fixed).

"Great, the issue was solved by downgrading to the version I downloaded from the release channel, which is  Ryujinx V1.1.1278. After replacing the app, it worked. Then, out of curiosity, I tested it again with the latest version,  Ryujinx V1.1.1279, and boom, it always crashed. However, with  Ryujinx V1.1.1278, I can enter the new city without any problems."
