Just an update that I have the CMake build scripts appearing to work (thins seem to compile and work correctly) on linux so I've moved over to trying to support...
at the time I stoped it was building reliably on windows 11 and what ever Linux distro I was dual booting. (I believe arch but it may have been popos)....
