WCAG Compliance: 1.2.2 Captions

We are verifying and improving Runestone's level of WCAG compliance to Level AA, our findings are summarized on a Google Doc here. This is for guideline 1.2.2.

1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded): Captions are provided for all prerecorded audio content in synchronized media, except when the media is a media alternative for text and is clearly labeled as such. (Level A)

In order to meet this guideline, we need to make sure any sort of media imbedded in Runestone books has captions (beyond YouTube autogenerated, but that might be a good place to start for writing them, or if the media is exempt from this standard).

We are currently working on this issue, our progress and findings are summarized here. We are working on a standardized process for creating and embedding transcripts to the books themselves.
