donation v2 enhancement suggestions
hi, very nice report i would
- add member role (to order by data by role)
- show 0 dons in red
- show color range from red (0) to strong green (1500)
- keep white color when no data available ( new members with no history)
- allow to order data by member role
- show most recent data on the left, oldest on the right thanks
Thanks. I will look into it — right now the team is unusually busy working on some other features but when we get back to this we will make it better. Most likely, the v2 beta color tables will be changed to something more useful. The hunch was that it could be useful but in actual interactive use case we find that perhaps listing the weekly numbers are potentially more useful to the enduser?
The Donations v2 is very helpful! Before this, it was hard near impossible to see what someone's donations were before the weekly reset.
One feature I suggest is adding is the total donations for that week displayed on the last day of the week.
It would also be cool to have a running total for the current week as well.
I'm sure y'all are working on a few things already but just wanted to give some feedback.
Sure, to be clear, would it just be better if I show the list of members and ignore their progressions? Seems you would rather just see end of week exact count?
For me, progression isn't too important. It's nice but I always just look at their final count so I would say it's not necessary. Others may disagree.
I can see it kinda looking like the Cards Earned table. You could have an average and sum.
On a certain week, if they were towards the lower part of the clan, it can be more red and if they were near the top, more green. Then you can sort by a week, average, or sum.
Hope that helps!
@csimpson11 Maybe a consolidated list is:
- [ ] Add the final number for the week (per your image above)
- [ ] Color range from red to green
- [ ] white if no data is available
- [ ] order right to left (vs. left to right) -- newest data on left
- [ ] ability to sort by "column"
- [ ] add member role
Can you clarify what sorting or filtering the member role would do? Isn't it just as good to just list it there and see the clan as a whole? You at least have it for context, right?
@6Sean Filtering would be helpful but not 100% necessary.
It would be helpful for our clan because to receive/remain Elder, you must have a certain number of donations. Being able to sort them would just make it easier to see who needs to be promoted/demoted.
Sorry if I’ve never moved further on this because we have me slammed with time-sensitive work! That said, when I finally get around to this, my understanding is that you would far prefer having things as numbers / tables as end-of-week results and that the progression hardly matters to you.
I am unsure what you meant by average / sum. Average by what? per day? per week? per month? per time span selected?
No worries. I get that y'all are busy.
Yes, progression isn't that important. At least not in our clans.
It's been a while since I typed that but I think I was thinking about an average over however long the data goes back. 3 or 4 weeks depending on how y'all structure it. Per my picture, that would be 5 weeks.
This would make it so you can see who's donated the most over the whole span of 5 weeks and also their weekly average.
(Ex. Someone has a sum of 5000 donations over 5 weeks. Their average would show 1000.)
Let me know if y'all have any other questions!
I just wanted to add I think it would be helpful if the edge cases stood out visually from the gradient, so that there is an obvious visual difference between 1 donation, or 0, or no data. It was mentioned in the list above, "Color range from red to green", but I want to make sure that it isn't implemented as just changing the existing white->green as red->green. For example:
- No data = blue
- 0 donations = red
- 1 to n donations = white to green gradient
Thanks
Thanks for the clarity on both points @csimpson11 @bdmay96 <3
