Hi @noah-c-noah-do this aligns with the variable $\bar \alpha^{(t)}$ introduced in supplement section 2.2 of the Nature paper. Does that help?

If not could you point to a specific line in the code, and describe what you would have expected based on the explanations in the supplementary methods?
