Restore not working
I would first like to say that the update to your app is awesome! I immediately updated as soon as I was aware and customized the bar along with the icons. All the changes were made in El Capitan and since I knew I was upgrading to Sierra I backed up the file. When I pressed back-up it opened a new tab with all the text to which I saved it as defaulted to web archive.
I then upgraded to Sierra and opened Safari and since I cleared the cache I needed to load the backup. When I pointed to the file nothing happens. When that didn't work I copied the text and loaded it into a text file and also a HTML file. All three methods were unsuccessful.
I have attached the file for your reference. I spent a lot of time customizing and I hope I don't have to redo it all. Could you please let me know the best way to proceed to retrieve my backup? Again thank you for a great extension it is much appreciated.
Hi Devon, thanks for the kind words and sorry about the issue. Your backup file looks like it has all the data there so let me do some testing and see why it's not working. We should be able to get it back.
Devon, the file you attached seems to work just fine when I try to restore from backup. I'm on Sierra and Safari 10.0.3 - is this the same version you're on?
Rory,
I was out of town so my apologies for the delay. Yes I am on all the updated versions of Sierra and Safari. I went through and recreated everything because I use it so often. I have run up on some minor glitches along with this issue and if your interested in debugging I will be happy to work with you. I know the app/extension is free so I am not sure how much work your going to do on it. However, I highly suggest you sell it as an extension. The only thing close was BB Button but they no longer exist nor work on the current platform. either way good luck,
Devon

Thanks for checking back in, I'd love to work more on this but won't be able to get to it until the weekend. I can put together a test build which will have some debugging information to see why your file is not importing. Stay tuned...
Having the same problem on Safari 10.0.3. and Sierra 10.12.3.
