I run into the same error that comes up in non-supported versions:

However I think that my webOS version (4.4.2-10 (goldilocks-gorongosa)) should be supported.

The same issue for me. I have tried to disconnect wifi network, reset my TV to factory settings(to delete all the updates), connect wifi again and use rootmy.tv again but it still did not work. I really need to root my TV and install a third party app :( Help....

I get the same error. I can just add that if I go back into the browser after it gives me the error message from above, then the website rootmy.tv instead displays the following: 0. Connecting...

1. Connected, registering... Accept prompt on the TV
2. Registered - looking for vulnerable apps...
3. Found com.webos.app.facebooklogin
4. Launching com.webos.app.facebooklogin
5. Launch result: {"type":"response","id":"1671698770512","payload":{"returnValue":true, "id":"com.webos.app.facebooklogin","sessionId":"[a long ID i will keep secret]"}}

Maybe it can help troubleshooting
