Spaces break Regex in Search & Highlight

I want to highlight Parsing 28 of 238, the numbers can vary

Regexes I tried to match

• Parsing \d+ of \d+ - nope
• Parsing \d* of \d* - nope
• Parsing \d* - did highlight the word "Parsing" but nothing after it
• parsing\s\d+\sof\s\d+ actually highlighted the phrase.

Does the search have a special treatment for spaces in the search string when it does Regex?
