Page Up/Down stops working

The Page Up/Down keys work for the first two presses (for page up first press highlights currently visible top line, second goes up a page) but then stops working until I click on a position in the log file and then it works for two key presses again.

The problem is surprisingly complex to solve but I have some ideas. When my current queue is clear I will take another look.

I work around this by clicking in the empty area of the scrollbar to page up/down, is there a way to use this to solve to keyboard nav complexity?

The problem with automatically selecting another area and then the view again is it is slow. I will however take another look with fresh eyes to see what I can come up with
