If a grouping feature is added, it should support grouping by any arbitrary attribute, thus enabling sorting and grouping to use similar logic and consume the same attributes.

Why not use https://www.naiveui.com/en-US/os-theme/components/color-picker#native.vue instead? (Not specifically from that framework, just the native colour picker.)
