                        Steam Release
Feature/enhancement description:
Consider a steam release.
It would be a great way to increase awareness of Material Maker, and streamline updates for users. Godot, Krita, and Blender are on steam and this would be an great addition to anyone's library.
This is not a bad idea, but this requires that I think about funding.

By "funding", do you mean setting a price point and/or supporter DLCs to help sustain development, or raising funds to pay the $100 Steam fee?

The $100 fee is not a problem (just like Apple dev subscription, website hosting etc.). But if I release MM for free on Steam, it will annihilate sales/donations on itch.io. And if it's non-free on Steam, is it fair compared to itch.io (no real benefit for users except auto update)? And what about Patreon (sure patrons would at least get a free Steam key as soon as their donations reach the Steam price)? And I'm too busy with dev right now to think about funding. :D
Also care about of Winget if you have time #620 (I hope)
