Unable to allow user to pin messages in direct messages only
Description:
More of an improvement, rather than a bug. Currently it looks like it is not possible to allow users to pin messages in direct messages without allowing them to pin messages everywhere else too.
Within our setup, Leaders and Owners are allowed to pin messages within their channels, but we would like to allow all users to pin messages in direct messages too. Without a separate permission or a general setting this scenario is not possible right now, as it looks.
There was a report about a comparable problem some time ago, which should have been solved: https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/issues/17871
Steps to reproduce:
- Write a direct message with a user that does not have the "pin message" permission
- try to pin this direct message
Expected behavior:
User is able to pin message in direct messages.
Actual behavior:
User cannot pin message in direct messages.
Server Setup Information:
- Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 6.2.9
Client Setup Information
- Desktop App or Browser Version: Desktop App 3.9.5
- Operating System: Win10
